Drafter - Food Processing Equipment

Andgar Food Processing Equipment, LLC has a new opening for an experienced Drafter based out of our headquarters in Ferndale, WA. This division designs and manufactures food processing equipment for the agricultural sector using conveyor belt systems and automation, with some robotics. Work is primarily on food-grade stainless steel and some aluminum (minimal). Creative thinkers and those with the ability to come up with new designs would excel in this position.
 


Pay, Incentives, and Benefits:
  • Salary Range $25.00 - $29.00/hour, DOE

Specific Duties Include:
  • Liaise with design and technical supervisor and customers to gather product and structural requirements and designs
  • Design diagrams, maps and layouts to illustrate workflow
  • Prepare and review rough sketches and review them along with the manufacturing team
  • Prepares creative designs or related drawings or details
  • Work on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role
  • Uses designs to develop specifications or estimates of materials needed for a project
  • Transforms initial rough product designs into working documents using computer aided design (CAD)
  • Create detailed designs with Computer-aided design (CAD) software
  • Collaborates with design originators to resolve discrepancies between original drawings and final CAD designs
  • Ensure final designs comply with regulations and quality standards
  • Adheres to assigned work schedule (attendance and punctuality)
  • Responds to phone messages, emails in timely manner
  • Comply with all applicable standards, policies, or procedures, maintaining a clean work area
  • Seeks assistance as needed and asks questions in a timely manner and to appropriate staff
  • Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • BS in Engineering, or a combination of technical degree and experience
  • 0-2 Years of related experience
  • Hands on experience with SolidWorks
  • Ability to apply engineering or architectural principles to the design of buildings/structures and their components or assemblies.
  • Ability to follow instructions with appropriate level of self-direction
  • Ability to interact with coworkers, contractors, vendors and management on a positive level
  • Responsive to inter-company personnel
  • Current Driver’s License and acceptable driving record
  • CPR & First Aid, Aerial Work Platform, Forklift, Rigging & Signaling Training within 12 months of hire
